Jan: 31: God good to me and my family in our outward mercies, my wife and babe well only the child froward, this was one of the bitterest days for cold I ever felt the wind being in the East, and coming over the snow, but this frost is a mercy purifying the air from the former malignity in the summer, oh that my heart could meditate of gods goodness, the lord good to me in the word and work of the Sabbath wherein I desire acceptance and for which I bless the name of our god
