Oct: 10: God good to our family in our health, and business in the want of a maid and the sickliness of the time, oh that my heart could be made sensible of gods goodness and affected therewith, the season very good for seed time the lords name be blessed for the same: the Lord helped me to press upon my people that great duty of forsaking sin, lord arise to and help therein(.) I preached about knowledge and ignorance to stir up people to attend to the means thereof, the lord bless my labours therein and accept me according to thy goodness.
