May. 1: God good to us in many outward mercies, the weather very dry and winds cold as if drought and famine would come in upon us, a very sad shattered face of things in the nation, yet few lay it too heart. the lord awake for our good(.) my wife apprehends she is breeding. if so, the lord bless her fruit, she is seldom or I think never mistaken on that point, god was good to me in the word and the work of this day for which I bless his name.
