12. This day my dear Friend Mrs Harlakenden and her little daughter went from Colne, not intending to return, the providence is sad, all of my dear Harlakenden gone from his habitation. good lord how uncertain all these things are. I went part of the way with her, none else doing such an office. this day we parted with great testimonies of mutual love. I emptied my meadow, at night it rained, gods providence was good to me, for which I praise him. my dear wife about in the house her throat sore, but god will command healing.
