29. preached at Colchester for Mr Stockdale , god good to me going, and returning(,) dined with Mr Mayor. said the act of indemnity passed. Mr Harlakenden returned safe from London, gods name be glorified for these mercies. talk as if the honest party were in hazard of a massacre, I fear mens jealous hearts are foolishly at work, I cannot think such a wickedness psal. 4. ult. but if god has made such great plots in their vile resolutions fools, and none shall be established by their wickedness. Paris will witness.

this day the King passed the act of pardon, I was glad I was so well employed on a day when so memorable an act was passed.
