10: I [this line is unfinished] Parliament began. my morning prayers for gods blessing on their meeting. the weather cold but clear and dry, blessed be god: the Keepers speech by order of the King. good. leaving accountants for their own innocence, and wishing them to reckon the Kings and peoples interest the same: Tompkins with the Commons moved to give the King Thanks for disbanding the army. putting out papists: damming patentees, and laying aside the E. of Claringdon the late chancellor. agreed to. a handsome beginning even as I desired.
