July. 20: God afflicts me, my An ill and deaf and thereby uncheerful, and so I scarcely can comfort her soul: Lord mar not my inheritance, a black cow died suddenly of the black gargett. my heart pants after god as my hope, and my trust is in him for good, lord leave me not(.) some good days in answer of prayer the lord will add more, oh let my labours do much good to souls, god good this day in his word, and my soul hopes in his mercy, and that his blessing shall abide with me.
