Aug. 24. A good harvest week, I have received in almost all my hard corn tithe for which I bless god, who I trust will put life and comfort into spiritual and outward blessings to recover body and soul to a further strength for his service, for which I hope with a holy confidence, and that he will recover me out of staleness as my heart is recovered(,) blessed be his name, a cheerful morning. god good to me in his word for which my soul blesses him.
