Sept. 21. Last night it thundered, and the night very wet, and so is this morning, the week sad for harvest and seed time; gods providence good to me, when many failed me yet I have as much money as I aimed at for the fair, and I trust god will bless me in laying it out, and prosper it to me, my heart trusts in him for all. my daughter Woodthorp with us, and I trust god will show us mercy in her: my hearts desire is to be with god in this sabbath work. and through grace I find my soul cleaving to and trusting more in my god.
