This day clear. and a great flood. snow lying in many places. it snowed almost continually, every day from Monday Feb. 23. to March. 12. when fell a great snow then it thawed with a wonderful flood. lost a sheep and a lamb. a great rot. lord I am sensible of thy afflicting hand and I turn to thee kissing thy rod. not murmuring at losses but praising thee for enjoyments. god good in his word affairs calm, all things dear
