Aug: 25: This morning looks very lowery. my stack lies open. and 2 jags of barley stand abroad. lord as you please. the last week a goodly harvest week and I endeavoured to follow. loading almost all my barley. a lovely crop. and mine in health for which my praises to my good god, whom I desire to serve this day and all my days with all my talents and his bounty; it gathered up and rained very sweetly about 7 of the clock, it comes excellently for my grass, especially. a great field of turnips.
