8. Mr Spicer married my youngest daughter Mrs Rebekah: I rode down in her coach and [held] it for them, my son Smith came down with them; they returned die the 12: my wife [at] first much troubled, I was overjoyed god had so well provided for her. I gave her 500li. down and with my blessing sent her away. I took my physic from Dr Cox in the meant[ime.] my wife apprehends it does me no good, but I cannot be fully of that mind. Mr Rhea p[reached] not himself but procured Mr Perkins to preach for me in the afternoon. I slept about an [hour] in the hall, I was refreshed by it I praise my god for it.
