Oct: 4: It is noble when the love of christ blots all worldly considerations out of the mind. I can forsake all. die for him. but how base is that person that the love of lust or world blots christ, and all that is noble and virtuous out of the soul. and man seeks to regain honour by heaps of riches / and lavish balls. and this love of sin is so inveterate and deep rooted that nothing will pull it up but the end of our lives death; so that to satisfy lust we will trample under foot all considerations whatsoever. yes the fear of god. yes provoke his wrath and put ourselves knowingly in the dint of it - you that know these things.
