item it is shown by the homage that Sam Burton senior customary tenant of this manor who held for himself for the term of his natural life from the lord of this manor by the rod at the will of the lord according to the customs of the said manor certain lands and tenements called Spoutfeild and Dynes or whatever other name or names they are called after the last court and before this court surrendered into the hands of the lord of the said manor by the hands of Thos Cockerell instead of the bailiff in the presence of Robt Crowe and Thos Norfolke two customary tenants of the said manor the said lands and tenements to the use and behoof of Jn Burton son of the said Sam his heirs and assigns forever and now to this court came the aforesaid Jn Burton and humbly sought from the lord admittance to the said lands and tenements according to the form and effect of the said surrender whereof the lord of the manor by his said steward granted seisin thereof to have and to hold the said lands and tenements to himself and his heirs forever from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the said manor by the rents and services thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and he gave to the lord his fine and made fealty and was admitted thereof tenant of the lord
