whereas at a view with court here held thursday being 8.4.1619 Hen Drury surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of his steward the reversion or remainder of one tenement called Filbriggs Windmilhil and Lophams and a parcel of the lords waste field which descended to him by right of inheritance as next heir of Hen Drury after the death of Ann then wife of Edw Griggs and now dead to the use and behoof of the said lord of the said manor and his heirs now at this court the lord by his grace specifically and freely granted out of his hands by his said steward the tenements lands and all other said premises with appurtenances to Jn Hawksby clerk vicar of the said Earls Colne and Dionisia his wife and by his said steward granted thereof seisin to them to have and to hold the said tenements lands and premises with their appurtenances to the said Jn Hawksby and Dionisia his wife for their lifetimes and to the longer liver to hold from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord by fealty suit of court and the rent of 8d per annum to be paid at the usual feasts within the said manor and by all other services and customs thereunto belonging from ancient times and by right accustomed and the said Jn made fealty to the lord and they gave fine to the lord and were admitted thereof tenants and afterwards in the same court and the court sitting the lord by his spe cial grace granted by his said steward the tenements lands and other premises with their appurtenances to Wm Hawksby son of the said Jn and Dionisia and by the said steward delivered seisin thereof to him to have the tenements lands and other said premises to Wm Hawksby and his heirs after the death of the said Jn Hawksby and Dionisia his wife forever to hold from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the said manor by fealty suit of court and the rent of 8d per annum to be paid at the usual feasts of the said manor and all other services thereunto belonging from ancient times and by right accustomed with the tenements lands and other said premises with appurtenances and the said Wm gave the lord for a fine and was admitted thereof tenant fealty however was respited until he was admitted
