whereas at a court here held 16.2.1648 Kath Somerson wife of Edw Somerson was admitted tenant of the lord for her lifetime to one messuage or tenement with garden and part of a well the reversion thereof to the said Edw and his heirs as is shown by the said court roll now at this court it is shown by the homage that after the said court the said Edw died seised thereof without heirs of his body and that the said Kath herself survived and holds to this day the premises for her lifetime and that Jn Somerson is the brother and heir of the said Edw who present in court humbly sought admittance to the reversion of the said cottage and premises to whom the lord by the said steward granted and delivered seisin thereof by the rod to have and to hold the said reversion to the said Jn Somerson his heirs and assigns from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the said manor by the rent services and customs thereunto belonging etc which said reversion should be in his possession and he gave to the lord his fine
