whereas at a court held for the said manor 17.5.1630 Jn Clerke and Eliz his wife were admitted tenants to them and to the heirs of the said Jn to one tenement called Golds with the curtilages orchards gardens and appurtenances to the same belonging now at this court it was presented by the homage that the said Jn divers years since died and that the said Eliz did him survive and is yet living and holdeth the premises for her natural life and that Jn Clerke is the son and heir of the said Jn Clerke deceased and of full age and thereupon the said Jn Clerke the son being present in court desired to be admitted tenant to the reversion of the said tenement and premises to whom the lord of the said manor by the said steward did grant and deliver thereof seisin by the rod to have and to hold the said reversion of the said tenement and premises to the said Jn Clerke the son and to his heirs and assigns forever of the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the said manor by the rents and services due and of right accustomed when the said reversion shall fall in possession and he gave to the lord for his fine and did his fealty
