at this court it was presented by the homage that Hen Abbott a customary tenant of the said manor since the last court that is to say upon 20.1.1657 did surrender into the hands of the lord of the said manor by the hands of Jn Scott in place of the bailiff and in the presence of Jn Isarson and Wm Adams two customary tenants of the said manor according to the custom of the said manor all his lands and tenements with the appurtenances lying in Earls Colne held by copy of court roll of the said manor to such uses intents and purposes as are or shall be expressed in his last will and testament
