whereas at a court here held 17.1.24Chas1 Jn Savill gentleman was admitted to him and his heirs to certain customary lands called Bridgemans one head thereof abutting upon lands called Glasyers and Newmans against the east and another head abutting on lands called Swannells against the south another head abutting on the king's highway leading from Earls Colne to Colne Engaine against the west and another head abutting on the great river against the north containing by estimation 13a more or less now at this court it appeared to the homage that the said Jn Savill died after the last court so seised and that Thos Savill gentleman is his son and heir who present in court humbly petitioned admittance etc to whom the steward delivered seisin to have and to hold the said lands with appurtenances to the said Thos Savill his heirs and assigns from the lord etc and gave the lord for fine etc and fealty was respited by the grace of the lord
