whereas at the last court here held it appeared to the homage that 29.6.19Chas2 Jn Bond and Ann his wife the said Ann alone and secretly examined by Jn Josselyn esq steward and consenting surrendered into the hands of the lord by the said steward one messuage or tenement parcel of Masons with a garden abutting the said tenement on the north and east which messuage lies between the churchyard of Earls Colne and the highway leading from Earls Colne to Halstead with appurtenances to the sole and proper use of Giles Crow his heirs and assigns forever on the condition following that if the said Jn Bond and Ann his wife or their heirs executors administrators or assigns pay or cause to be paid to the said Giles Crow his administrators or assigns at the now mansion house of the said Giles situate in Earls Colne 10li10s upon 30.7.1668 then the surrender will be void now at this court came the said Giles Crow and gave the court information that the said sum at the said date was not paid and that it remains unpaid and humbly petitioned admittance etc to whom the steward delivered seisin etc to have and to hold the said messuage etc to Giles Crow his heirs and assigns of the lord etc and he gave the lord for fine etc
