at a court held 16.10.1673 Rich Ward was admitted to one croft of land called Burroughs about 3a now at this court shown by the homage that the said Rich Ward surrendered on 18.6.1679 by Geo Toller gentleman instead of the bailiff in the presence of Jn Garrett and Humph Ruggles the said croft of land and appurtenances and all other customary messuages lands and tenements which the said Rich Ward held plus reversion and reversions remainder and remainders and all estate right title and interests proclaimed and claimed by the said Rich Ward of and in the said premises or any other parcel to Jn Fletcher junior of Earls Colne yeoman his heirs and assigns forever Jn Fletcher is present in court and he seeks admittance and pays the fine etc after his admittance the said Jn Fletcher surrendered the said premises and appurtenances to himself and his wife Rosamund his heirs and assigns forever they are present they seek admittance and they pay the fine etc
