at this court it appeared to the homage that Robt Potter customary tenant of this manor the 3.8.1695 surrendered by the rod into the hands of the lord by the hands of Dan Nightingale bailiff of the manor in the presence of Geo Toller gentleman and Humph Ruggles two customary tenants etc all his customary messuages lands and hereditaments held of the manor to the use of his last will in writing
