at a court held 20.3.1683 Thos Biggsby was admitted to him and his heirs to one messuage or cottage with yard and garden adjacent called Francise held by annual rent 8d with services now at this court it appears that said Thos Biggsby late died seised and that Thos Biggsby after the said admission in that court surrendered the premises to the use to be declared in his last will now to this court comes Sam Finch by Robt Child in role of attorney or deputy and produces in court the last will of the said Thos Biggesby dated 25.6.1693 declaring in following english words first I give and bequeath unto Sam Finch of Earls Colne in the said county tailor and his heirs and assigns forever all that messuage or tenement wherein I now live with the yards gardens and backsides to the same belonging both freehold and copyhold lying now and adjoining to a messuage called and known by the name of Gilberts and which I lately purchased of the said Sam Finch the said Sam by his attorney humbly petitions etc admitted to the said premises etc fealty respited
