at a court held 4.10.last past Edw Abbutt gentleman was admitted to him and heirs to one messuage or tenement with garden by name Skinners alias the Kingshead and also to a croft of land with house built on it with barn called Burtons Barn or Burtons Garden with right of entrance and exit by gate of said house viz from a road leading from Colchester to said barn and through and across croft of land called Bearecroft for carrying and recarrying both through said gate and through said croft and also to one tenement called Gentryes and also to three crofts of land containing 12a more or less called Broomcrofts and also to one croft land containing 11a also with one road leading to said croft for hunting and chasing and also to one croft parcel of Bearecroft containing 3a more or less now at this court etc Edw Abbutt 21.11.1711 surrendered by rod into hand of the lord by hand of Geo Bull in place of the bailiff in presence of Geo Toller and Robt Harris two customary tenants etc said messuage lands meadows and tenements and all and singular his premises with appurtenances now in the tenure or occupation of Ambrose Gowlett and the reversion and reversions remainder and remainders of them and all his estate right title interest claim and demand etc in the said premises or any parcel of them to the sole and proper use of Dan Bayly of Colne Engain in the said county yeoman his heirs and assigns absolutely and forever which Dan Bayly present here in court etc lords by deputy steward granted delivery of seisin etc to have and to hold premises etc fealty respited
