after Jn Hatch comes into court in his own person and complains against said Geo Biddulph in a plea of land to wit one messuage and one garden with appurtenances in Earls Colne etc and made protestation to prosecute his plaint in form of a writ upon a disseisin in le post at common law and prays process etc against Geo said Geo present freely appears to answer said plea and afterwards came Jn and petitioned against Geo in the tenement aforesaid etc in which Geo has not had ingress since the disseisin by Hugo Hunt thirty years have elapsed etc Geo came in person to defend his right and called Thos Angier and Eliz his wife to warrant who are in court freely and afterwards Jn petitioned against Thos and Eliz tenants by warranty etc and Thos and Eliz came and defended themselves and called to warrant Ann Hatch who was present in court afterwards Jn petitions against Ann Hatch tenant by warrant etc Ann appears and called to warrant Edw Paine who is present in court etc and after said Jn prays against said Edw tenant by warranty etc the said tenement with appurtenances in said form and said that he was seised etc in his demesne as of fee etc thereupon he brings suit etc and said Edw etc comes and defends his right and says that Hugo Hunt did not disseise the said Jn as by his above plea supposes etc and puts himself the said Jn prays leave to imparl at one hour after noon it is granted and after at that hour comes again but Edw although solemnly demanded did not come but departed in contempt of court and made default therefore it is considered that Jn should recover seisin etc against Geo and that Geo have of the lands and tenements of Thos and Eliz to the value etc and that Thos and Eliz have of the lands and tenements of Ann to the value etc and that lastly said Ann have of the lands of Edw to the value etc and that Edw is in mercy etc said Jn prays precept etc Sam Burton officer of the court as baillie returned said precept etc by virtue etc caused Jn full seisin said Jn petitions to be admitted tenant to tenement with appurtenances according to form and effect of recovery etc
