at at court held 18.4.1726 it appeared to that homage that Jacob Frost a customary tenant of this manor 8.4. surrendered into hand of lord by rod by hand of Solomon Grimston then deputy steward etc all that part of a tenement with appurtenances called Le Swynstye in tenure of Jacob held of the manor by copy of court roll to use of Thos Frost of Earls Colne farmer for his life and after his death to Susan wife of said Thos Frost for her life and after her decease to use of Thos his heirs and assigns forever but nobody came etc therefore first proclamation was made etc now to this court comes Thos and Susan and humbly petition etc admitted tenants to premises etc according to tenor of surrender
