whereas at this court Jn Middleton was admitted as son and heir of Eliz Middleton deceased who was daughter of Jane Fuller one of the daughters and coheirs in tail of Wm Davey and Jane his wife deceased to a tenement and yard with appurtenances in Holt Street called Francis late in tenure of Edw Spel and held of manor by copy of court roll and afterwards said Jn in open court suffered a recovery etc now Jn in proper person surrenders in court by rod into hand of lords by hand of steward the tenement yard and premises wit appurtenances to use of Jon Layer of Earls Colne his heirs and assigns forever which said Jon being present in court lords by steward granted seisin by rod to hold etc by rent 3d1h and other services he paid the fine etc made fealty etc
