now at this court comes Jn Bell and produces before homage last will of Thomasin Bell his late wife deceased dated 24.5.1741 by which she devised as follows I also give and bequeath unto my loving husband Jn Bell all that messuage cottage or tenement with the appurtenances called Humphrys and one other messuage or tenement called Bayleys late two cottages together with several cottages or tenements as the same are situate lying and being in Earls Colne held of the manor of Earls Colne by copy of court roll which now are in the several tenures or occupations of the widow Pollys the widow Cony Thos King and Jacob Green or their assigns with their and every of their appurtenances to hold all and every of the copyhold premises to Jn Bell his heirs and assigns forever thereupon Jn craves of lords to be admitted tenant lords by steward granted seisin by rod to hold etc
