fine 2s | the same is pardoned because he is poor to this court came Jn Atte Parke of Earls Colne and showed an ancient copy made here at the court holden on tuesday in the week of pentecost 3.6.50Edw3 the lord granted to Nich Atte Parke one tenement with 4a of arable land lying in the town aforesaid with four beasts and four hogs going in the lord's park aforesaid to hold to the said Nich by the service of enclosing the lord's park viz 30rod when it shall be needful whether it be accounted more or less and he gave the lord for fine etc and made fealty etc and hereupon now at this court the steward took examination and evidence upon the oath of the whole homage who say that the copy is good and faithful because it is known that it was written by the hand of the steward or his deputy as appears in another court roll of the time of king Edward the third etc and the said Jn Atte Parke was the son and heir of the said Nich Atte Parke which held the said land and tenement with appurtenances now at this court the lord granted and confirmed to the said Jn Atte Parke the same land and tenement with appurtenances to hold by the ancient services and customs as is beforenamed and he gave the lord for fine etc and beside the ancient copy is delivered to the said Jn to show to any of the lord's council that will see the same because it is the truth |
