Earls Colne | whereas at a court with view here held on the tuesday in pentecost week 17.5.8Edw3 it was found by an inquisition that a certain Roger Foche now Jn Mille (inserted) held from the lord one messuage and five acrewar of customary land by the services of 7s6d and heriot on his death and 1a2r of free land which he held to himself by succession after the death of his father and for which 1a2r of free land he paid to the lord earl 4d per annum rent for all services and they say that all the aforesaid tenements after the death of the said Roger should fall to Kath Foche his daughter as far as Hengham thus that the aforesaid Kath came into full court and took of the lord all the aforesaid tenements with appurtenances etc and whereof the aforesaid Kath sometime sold and granted the said free land to Jn Adam and Alice his wife etc |
