| Earls Colne Jn Adam | whereas at a court here held on the friday next after the feast of all saints in 8.11.10Edw3 Xian who was wife of Jocius proposed to purchase of Peter Smyth and Jn Adam two crofts of land and 5d annual rent which same Peter and Jn had as an enfeofment of the aforesaid Jocius by deed and because the said Jocius was the lord's bondsman the said tenement was seized into the hands of the lord and to this court came the aforesaid Xian and surrendered the deed of the said tenement and received the said tenement from the lord by the rod to hold to the same for the whole of her life by the increase of 1f and she gave to the lord all other services and customs and after her decease the remainder to the rightful heirs of the said Jocius etc |
