exchange between the lord earl and the prior of Colne of a meadow memo | whereas at a court here held on the monday the day after the feast of st hilary 14.1.26Edw3 it was shown by the whole of the lord's homage that there was no damage to the lord nor his heirs rather it would truly be possible to exchange a certain piece of his meadow called Lowemedowe now the lord by his letter grants to the prior and convent and its successors of Colne the said piece of meadow adjoining at the exit gate of the river gate of the water mill of the said priory and convent called Perysmyll as shown by the bounds to stand forever in exchange for one other piece of meadow of the said prior and convent as shown by the bounds late of Jn Atte Berne on the north part and the river bank and the said meadow of Lowemeadow to have and to hold to the same prior and convent and its su ccessors in exchange as aforesaid without impediment from the lord or his bailiff etc whereof memo |
