fine 4d whereas it was presented to seize into the hands of the lord one cottage with garden adjoining called Adam Smethys because Jn March smith sold the same to Wm Coldhegy and did not come to make surrender thereof according to the custom of the manor and thereof to return of the profits as in the general court here held on the tuesday next after the feast of all saints 17Hen6 it appeared now to this court came the said Jn March and placed himself upon the lord's grace and sought the said cottage with garden adjoining and its appurtenances to be delivered to him because the said Wm concerning the granting thereof between them delayed and made default and postponement etc therefore the lord by his steward regranted the aforesaid cottage and garden with appurtenances to the aforesaid Jn March to whom it was granted thereof seisin to hold to him his heirs and assigns as in his former estate according to the custom of the manor by the services and customs saving the right etc and he gave for a fine etc and made fealty
