fine 16d | the jury present that Jn Smythe who lately held by the rod to the will of the lord one messuage with a garden thereunto annexed sometime Jn Attesloe's lying near the churchyard of Colne and also a certain gate opening from the said messuage even to Berecroftlane with free ingress and egress both to carry and recarry chase and rechase by the gate and a way there even unto Beerecroft aforesaid and also to water his beasts and cattle at the lord's pond without doing the lord unlawful damage died since the court last past and died seised thereof etc and that Robt the son of the said Jn Smith is the next heir and of full age who came and desired himself to be admitted to whom by the steward there is seisin thereof delivered by the rod to hold to him and his heirs and assigns by the rod at the will of the lord by the service due and of right accustomed etc saving the right etc and he giveth the lord for fine etc and made fealty |
