| fine | to this court came Jeff Audeley and surrendered into the lord's hands and in open court one messuage lying in Earls Colne aforesaid called Skinners with a certain way into Berecroftlane with all appurtenances to the intent that the lord of his special favour might regrant the foresaid messuage called Skinners with the aforesaid way to the foresaid Jeff to whom the lord granted seisin thereof to have to him and the heirs of the bodies of the said Jeff and Margt late his wife lawfully begotten and for default of such issue to remain to the right heirs of the said Jeff forever to the will of the lord according to the custom of the manor by the services therefore before due and accustomed and he giveth the lord for fine etc |
