fine 6s8d it is found by the homage that Robt Game which held estate together with Alice his wife and Jn Holme prior of Colne now deceased before his death out of the court surrendered into the lord's hands by the hands of Jeff Audeley in stead of the bailiff two tenements whereof one is called Lytmans and the other is called Gyffords with a certain purpresture adjoining with appurtenances Litmans and Giffords and also to this court came the said Alice late the wife of the said Robt and surrendered into the lord's hands the said two tenements with the said purpresture of land to the use of Joan Band widow late wife of Wm Band at Heddingham at Castle for term of her life if she so long live alone and not marry to remain thenceforth to Robt son of the said Wm Band and Joan his heirs and assigns to which Joan there is seisin thereof delivered to hold to her and her assigns for term of her life if she live alone to the will of the lord according to the custom of the manor to remain thenceforth to Robt his heirs and assigns to the will of the lord according to the custom of the manor doing and yielding the rents and services etc and she giveth the lord for fine and made fealty
