item they present that Jn Sparrowe the lord's bailiff since the last court seize into the lord's hands one croft of land called Spowtecrofte alias Riecroft near the tenement of Rich Garrard called Glovers as he had in charge in the last court and after the said bailiff distrained the corn viz rye there growing for the arrearage of the rent of the said croft behind being and after seisin and distress so made by the foresaid bailiff the prior of Colne notwithstanding the foresaid seisin and distress made the rye aforesaid to be carried away as his own proper grain without the licence of the lord or the bailiff aforesaid to the contempt and great damage of the lord
