it is found by the homage that
Thos Ellis
who held to him and his heirs of the lord by the rod as of this manor one garden with the appurtenances called
Lophams
over against
the Mellhill
containing 1r of land or more etc out of the court and since the last court died of such estate seised in his demesne as of fee etc and they say further that
Jn Ellis
is son and next heir of the said
Thos
and hath right to the foresaid land called
the Mellhill
and the garden called
Lophams
who being present in the court came and craved to be admitted thereunto and because it is so found by the homage therefore he is admitted the lord's tenant thereof to whom by the lord's steward there is seisin thereof delivered to hold to him his heirs and assigns of the lord by the rod etc and he giveth fine etc and made fealty
