Jn Garrard holds to self and heirs of the lord by the rod one messuage and appurtenances called Skinners one croft of land on which a house is now built one garden called Burtons Garden with liberty of ingress and egress by the gates of the manor on the highway to Colchester through the garden to the crofts called Berecroft to carry and recarry by the said gates also to a tenement and appurtenances called Gentries and also to three crofts of land containing 12a called Bromecrofts and to one croft containing 11a together with a way leading to the field aforesaid to drive and chase also a meadow late parcel of Berecroft containing 3a of land and appurtenances in Earls Colne as shown by copy 19.6.1568 rent 21s6d per annum
