at this court it is found and certified as well by Thos Gent esq chief steward of the manor aforesaid as by the homage that the foresaid Sibil Cressener that held to her and her heirs of the lord by the rod etc two crofts of land containing by estimation 16a of land more or less lying in Lowfield under the dwelling house sometime Jn Wrooe's and now the foresaid Sibil of the one part and near one croft of land called Kevitts Field now in the lord's hands of the other part came before the foresaid Thos Gent the foresaid 8.10.20Eliz1 and surrendered into the lord's hands by the hands of the said steward the foresaid two crofts of land with the appurtenances to the use and behoof of Geo Cressener her son and the heirs of his body lawfully begotten and for default of such issue to remain to Mary Freebody late the daughter of Thos Cressener deceased and her heirs which Geo being here present in court came and prayed to be admitted thereto to whom by the lord's steward there is seisin thereof delivered to have and to hold to him and his heirs of his body lawfully begotten and for default of such issue to the foresaid Mary Freebody and her heirs of the lord by the rod to the will of the lord according to the custom of the manor by the rents and services therefore before due and of right accustomed and he giveth fine etc and made fealty and is admitted the lord's tenant
