four that he was present in Westminster Hall at his majesties court of common pleas at the trial of the suit between the now defendant Rich Harlakenden complainant and one Abbott defendant the said trial being for a tree that the said Rich Harlakenden had caused to be cut down growing upon the said Abbott's lands some eight years since or thereabouts as this deponent taketh it to which trial the court rolls of the said manor of Earls Colne were brought as this deponent taketh it but what the judges or any of them then said concerning the said court rolls this deponent saith he knoweth not for that he was then so far distant from the judges in the said court that he could not hear what they or any of them said touching the said court rolls
