the final agreement made in the court of common bench at Westminster from easter day in fifteen days 1655 before Oliver St John Edw Atkins Math Hale and Hugh Windam justices and others then and there present between Geo Cressener gentleman and Wm Simpson plaintiffs and Xoph Pennock and Ann his wife Hugh Potter and Ann his wife Jerome Richardson and Margt his wife deforciants of one cottage one garden and one orchard and 5a of wood with the appurtenances in Earls Colne Colne Engaine and Pebmarsh whereupon a plea of covenant was summoned between them in the said court that is to say that the aforesaid Xoph and Ann Hugh and Ann Jerome and Margt have acknowledged the aforesaid tenement with the appurtenances to be the right of him the said Geo as those which the said Geo and Wm have of the gift of the aforesaid Xoph and Ann and Hugh and Ann and Jerome and Margt and those they have remised and quitclaimed from them the said Xoph and Ann Hugh and Ann and Jerome and Margt and their heirs to the aforesaid Geo and Wm and the heirs of the said Geo forever and moreover the said Xoph and Ann his wife have granted for them and the heirs of the said Xoph that they will warrant to the aforesaid Geo and Wm and the heirs of the said Geo the aforesaid tenement with appurtenances against them the said Xoph and Ann and the heirs of the said Xoph forever and further the said Hugh and Ann his wife have granted for them and the heirs of the said Hugh that they will warrant to the aforesaid Geo and Wm and the heirs of the said Geo the aforesaid tenement with appurtenances against them the said Hugh and Ann and the heirs of the said Hugh forever and also the said Jerome and Margt have granted for them and the heirs of the said Jerome that they will warrant the aforesaid Geo and Wm and the heirs of the said Geo the aforesaid tenement with appurtenances against them the said Jerome and Margt and the heirs of the said Jerome and for this acknowledgement remise and quitclaim warrantys fine and agreement the said Geo and Wm have given the aforesaid Xoph and Ann Hugh and Ann Jerome and Margt 41li sterling
according to the form of the statute the first proclamation was made 28.5.1655 easter term the second proclamation was made 28.6.1655 trinity term and the third proclamation was made 5.11.1655 michaelmas term the fourth proclamation was made 26.1.1656 hilary term
