mr Adams curate of White Colne to certify unto the court to say why he should not repair the chancel of White Colne he appeared and alleged that he is but vicar there and hath no tithes etc belonging to the rectory therefore he is not tied or bound by law to repair the same but the parson or the farmer of the parsonage there for the present ought to do the same referring himself to the law and further that Wm Barnard is presented for the same and the judge dismissed him and mr Barnard is cited
