Rich Fern of Earls Colne to certify of confessing guilt in the church under the hands of the minister he appeared and brought a certificate from the minister that he showed and received and that if none cometh in to second the presentment the judge would dismiss him he appeared and introduced the certificate under the hands of mr Adams vicar and twelve of the other neighbours of the parish that he has been of good fame and this certificate being received the judge dismissed him 12d and 12d and send a letter to the minister of Colne(inserted)
