an indenture made the 30.3.1747 between Jn Ellis of Great Tey yeo of the one part and Jn Hurrill of the said Tey aforesaid yeo of the other part in manner following witnesseth that the said Jn Ellis for and in consideration of the rents and covenants hereinafter reserved remised and let unto the said Jn Hurrill the use of the bake house and a place in the yard to lay firewood and one bay in the new barn together with four fields called by the names of Pit Field Broad Field Durrants and Ladywood Croft containing by estimation 24a being part of a farm called Baldwins situate in Great Tey aforesaid and now in the occupation of the said Jn Ellis to hold all and singular the said premises to Jn Hurrill his executors administrators and assigns from the 29.9.last past for and during the term of 14yr next ensuing fully to be complete and ended yielding therefore yearly during the said term unto the said Jn Ellis his heirs or assigns at or in the dwelling house aforesaid called Baldwins the yearly rent or sum of 12li of lawful money on the 25.3.= and the 29.9.= by even and equal portions and the said Jn Hurrill for himself his executors administrators and assigns and for every of them doth covenant and agree with the said Jn Ellis his heirs and assigns that the said Jn Hurrill his executors administrators or assigns pay or cause to be paid to the said Jn Ellis his heirs or assigns the said yearly rent at the days and times and place in manner and form above said and it is also agreed between the parties aforesaid that if the said rent or part thereof be in arrear or unpaid by the space of 28days after either the said days of payment as aforesaid that it shall and maybe lawful to and for the said Jn Ellis his heirs or assigns to enter into the said messuage or tenement and premises and after such entry these presents shall be void and lastly that it shall and maybe lawful to and for the said Jn Hurrill his executors administrator and assigns paying the said rent and performing all the said covenants and agreements herein contained to hold and enjoy the said messuage tenement land and premises with apps unto the end expiration or other sooner determination of this present demise without the disturbance or interruption of the said Jn Ellis or of any other person or persons lawfully claiming or to claim from by or under him in witness whereof the said parties above named to these presents have interchangeably set their hands and seals the day and year first above written mark Jn Ellis mark Jn Hurrill signed sealed and delivered and stamped in the presence of Jn Spurgin and Egaton Crosse
