in the name of god amen the 10.3.1580 etc. I Rose Ward of Earls Colne in the county of Essex widow being sick in body but whole and perfect in remembrance and mind thanks be to god do make and ordain my testament containing therein my last will in manner and form following first I commit my soul to the lord and my body to be buried where it shall please the lord item I give to the poor in Earls Colne 12d to be paid at her burial item I give to Robt Warde my son a bullock of two years of age to be delivered to him within six days after my decease item I give to Margt Prentice my daughter a cow to be delivered presently after my death also I give her a cupboard a flockbed with a blanket a brass pot two pewter dishes a chest a trundle bed standing where I lie item I give to Christian my daughter a posnet a pewter dish item I give to Jn Warde my son four     posted bed a featherbed a blanket a covering a brass pan a salt a latten chafing dish a platter to Margt all the rest of my goods my body honestly brought to the ground my debts paid I give to Jn Warde my son whom I make my executor to this my last will and testament in witness whereof I have put to my hand and seal the day and year above written read sealed signed and delivered in the presence of Rich Ennow Rich Prentis and Jn Cant with others
