3.10.1616 in the name of god amen I Thos Lonngley of White Colne in the county of Essex being sick in body but whole and perfect in mind laud and praise be to almighty god do make and ordain my testament containing therein my last will in manner and form following first I commit my soul to god who created me and all the world to jesus christ who redeemed me and all the world and to the holy ghost who sanctified me and all the world and my body to the earth from whence it came to be decently buried by mine executors imprimis I give to Robt Longley my godson 5li good english money to be paid unto him within one half year next after my death item I give to the three children of my sister Tiball 5li of good english money Jeff Tiball 20s Jn Tiball 40s and Ann Tiball 40s Jeff and Jn to be paid within one quarter of an year after my death and Ann (may be Ann) when she shall accomplish the year of 21yr item I give to Wm Lonngly my godson 10s of good english money to be paid to him one half year after my death item I give Margt Pesse the wife of Thos Pesse of Brammly 40s of good english money to be paid to her on my death item I give to the poor of White Colne 40s of good english money to be paid at four times in the year 5s a quarter the first payments to pay the day of my funeral item I give to Ann Lonngly (may be Ann Lonngly) my cousin 20s of good english money to be paid unto her half a year after my death item the seven sheep that I sold the money be paid my executors towards the payment of my rent at Wests that should be 10s and the rest divided amongst my executors item I give to Wm Longly twenty two seams of oats in consideration of the money I owe unto him item I will that Eliz my wife shall pay to her daughter Eliz Diglett 9li of good english money in consideration of the money I owe unto her in consideration of the gift I have given unto her after my death and I give unto Jn Diglett my wife's son one horse to be delivered unto him within one week after my death item I give unto Thos Longley my cousin one horse to be delivered unto him within one week after her death all the rest of my goods chattels and movables unbequeathed I give to Eliz my wife except my lease of Wests and Burches I give unto my executors     that she shall bring my body honestly and decently to the earth and I will that she shall her Wests grow so long as she keepeth house and then to the executors Wm Longly and Eliz Diglet whom I do make my executors to this my last will and testament where unto I have put my hand and seal the 3.10.1616 item I will that Eliz my wife shall give to Jn Diglet her son 50s of good english money by her executors or assigns and shall give Thos Longly by herself or her executors 50s of good english money the same sealed signed and delivered in the presence of us Wm Adams Jeff Potter mark Rich Burton
