in the name of god amen I Jn Franklyn of Earls Colne in the county of Essex clerk do make my last will and testament in these words first I give and bequeath to my mother in law Judith Franklyn the sum of 20li to be paid her within six months after my decease I give and devise to my sister Judith Franklyn all my lands lying in Sudbury in the county of Suffolk she paying unto Tabitha Jarvis widow living in Sudbury aforesaid or her heirs the sum of 50li and interest and permitting Arthur Brewster of the same place to enjoy the said lands according to an agreement made between the said Arthur my mother in law aforesaid and myself I give and devise to my sister Martha Franklyn the sum of 50li of good and lawful money to be paid her within twelve months after my decease all the rest of my estate and substance wheresoever or of what kind soever it be after all my just debts and obligations are fully paid and satisfied I give and devise to be equally divided and parted between my two nephews Hen and Jn Franklyn sons of my late brother Hen Franklyn and lastly I do constitute and appoint my loving friend Thos Sewel of Earls Colne a foresaid and Eliz Franklyn widow my sister in law to be joint executors of this my last will in testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal 17.8.1721 Jn Franklyn
