in the name of god amen I Dan Gibson of Earls Colne in the county of Essex yeoman tailor being in good health and of sound and perfect mind and memory thanks be to god for it this (sic) do I make this my last will and testament in manner as followeth hereby revoking all former wills by me made and as to that worldly estate wherewith it hath pleased god to bless me with I dispose thereof as followeth that is to say first I give and devise unto my loving wife Mary Gibson the house called The Crown and Shears lying and being in Colchester in the parish of Gulses (sic) in the said county and now in the tenement (sic) or occupation of mr Halls fisherman to she and her heirs forever also I give and devise unto my loving wife Mary Gibson the house where we now dwell and all the ground belonging to it to she and her heirs forever also I give and bequeath unto my loving wife Mary Gibson all my goods and chattels and for she to pay all my debts and funeral charges and what she spare at the end of her life to divide equal between all her children and if my wife Mary Gibson should marry again to another man she is to have nothing but all to be divide between all my children equally last I nominate and appoint my loving wife Mary Gibson my alone executrix of this my last will and testament contained in one sheet of paper have set my hand and seal 3.9.1746 Dan Gibson by the testator in presence of us Jn Hutson Martha Hutson Sarah Child
