in the name of god amen I Abigail Johnson the wife of Oliver Johnson of Earls Colne in the county of Essex gent being in health of body and of a sound mind memory and understanding thanks to the almighty god for the same do by virtue of all and every powers and authorities whatsoever to me any ways reserved and belonging do make this my last will and testament attested in the presence of three credible witnesses in manner and form following that is to say imprimis I give devise declare limit and appoint unto my daughter Abigail Johnson all those my farms both freehold and copyhold with the lands rights members and hereditaments thereunto belonging called the Hayhouse and Curds or otherwise situate lying and being in Earls Colne aforesaid or any other parish or places thereunto adjoining now in the occupation of my said husband or his assigns and also all that messuage or tenement and farm with the lands members and appurtenances thereunto belonging as well freehold as copyhold situate lying and being in Colne Engaine and Pebmarsh in the county aforesaid now in the occupation of my son Edw Johnson or his assigns and also all those my two cottages with the yards and appurtenances thereunto respectively belonging situate and being in Earls Colne aforesaid now in the several tenures of Jn Stowers and Robt Parminter or their assigns and also all and every other my real estate that I have any right to dispose of to hold unto and to the use of the said Abigail Johnson my daughter her heirs and assigns absolutely and for ever subject nevertheless and I do hereby charge all the said premised with the payment of 12li a year to my said husband and his assigns for his life in case he permits my said daughter and her heirs quietly to enjoy all the said premised pursuant to this my will but if he gives her any manner of trouble then my will is that the said annuity shall immediately cease and be void as fully as if no annuity has not been herein mentioned and until my said daughter shall attain her age of 21yrs I will and empower my cousin Susannah Jenner of Copford widow to receive the rents and profits of all my said estates and give discharges for the same for the benefit of my said daughter and to use every method legal for obtaining the said rents or any of them and if my said cousin dies then I empower my said daughter notwithstanding her infancy to give discharges for such rents whose receipts I will should be sufficient so revoking all former wills I do declare this to be my last will in witness whereof I the said Abigail Johnson have to this my last will and testament contained in this sheet of paper set my hand and seal this 11.3.1752 Abigail Johnson signed sealed published and declared by the said Abigail Johnson the testatrix as and for her last will and testament in the presence of us and by us attested in her presence Dan Green Wm Bright jun Sam Wall
